Finnish nature photographer Harri Maanoja is particularly known for his stunning fox photographs, which he captures in his hometown of Lahti. In addition to his work as a police officer, he has been photographing nature for nearly ten years.

“The white-tailed deer I photographed in Skåldö in 2017 was a turning point,” Maanoja explains. “For the past four years, I’ve been pursuing photography more seriously.”

Maanoja primarily photographs foxes in the forests and fields around his home. Capturing these images would be difficult for an inexperienced person in the wild. Although Maanoja began actively photographing as an adult, he has spent time in nature since childhood. Tracking comes naturally to him, as does the patience required for waiting. His work in the police technical department has also given him a strong understanding of technology.

Maanoja’s fox photos have garnered significant attention, leading him to expand his setup with a hide, where he can also host clients.

We are pleased to present Maanoja’s stunning photo collections along with his tips for photographing foxes. If you’re interested in photographing them yourself, feel free to contact Harri Maanoja, who offers excellent photography opportunities in Lahti for individuals or pairs of nature photographers.
